Whether facing physical, emotional, psychological, or economic abuse, we are here to stand by you. Irrespective of age, class, caste, education status, marital status, race, or culture, SAKHI OSC is dedicated to providing unwavering support and redressal.
At SAKHI OSC, we understand the challenges women face in various aspects of life. We are committed to aiding those experiencing attempted sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, honour-related crimes, acid attacks, or witch-hunting. Senior Citizens Home Budgam, J & K a compassionate haven established in November 2022 by the Department of Social Welfare Budgam, Government of Jammu & Kashmir. Crafted under the esteemed Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojna (AVYAY) scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India and implemented by JKSWM. Our home stands as a symbol of dignified care and unwavering support for our cherished senior citizens.
At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to enhancing the lives of our elderly residents. Our comprehensive offerings encompass shelter, nourishment, clothing, and a range of amenities designed to enrich their daily lives. A thoughtfully curated library, recreational facilities, and stress management resources foster a vibrant atmosphere that encourages personal growth and enjoyment.
Our holistic approach extends beyond the physical, addressing emotional and psychological well-being. Professional counselling services, robust social support networks, and legal assistance provide the essential pillars for a life of quality and fulfilment.
Central to our ethos is the belief that every senior citizen deserves a life of comfort and care. That’s why we extend a helping hand to the deprived elderly, ensuring that all our services and life support provisions are accessible to them, completely free of cost.
The Home is aimed to provide an array of facilities to Senior citizens like shelter, food, clothing, recreational facilities, library, stress management, counseling, social support, legal assistance, medical assistance and other basic life facilities. The deprived elderly people registered at Senior Citizens Home would be provided all facilities and life support aspects at the home. The home is facilitated with seperate medical staff comprising of a trained doctor and a trained experienced nurse.
This place has a functional library that includes books on the discourses of religion, philosophy, etcetera for the senior citizens. The facility also has a fully furnished hall fitted with fan and heating system. There are computers, LCD TV, Carom, Chess and other tools of recreational recourse for the elderly

District Drug De-Addiction Centre, Bandipora, J & K
District Drug De-Addiction Centre (DDAC) in Bandipora is a significant milestone in our collective effort to combat drug addiction and promote overall well-being. The DDAC has been established by the District Administration, Bandipora in collaboration with Social Welfare Department, Kashmir, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) Scheme initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. The centre is managed by a dedicated organization – J&K Students Welfare Mission.
The primary goal of the Centre is to provide comprehensive and holistic services for individuals struggling with drug addiction. The range of services offered includes admission and shelter facilities, nutrition support, stress management, awareness campaigns, counselling, stabilization, education, prevention strategies, detoxification, treatment options, rehabilitation programs, and a focus on the complete recovery of individuals (WPR). Both indoor and outdoor patient treatment facilities are available, catering to the specific needs of patients and addicts.
The DDAC aims to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for patients on their journey to recovery. The centre is equipped with dedicated sections, including administrative facilities, medical blocks, counselling rooms, detoxification ward, general ward, a well-stocked library, recreational areas, and more. Our dedicated team of professionals, including male and female counsellors, doctor, trained nurse and other medical staff is committed to delivering quality care to each individual.
Since the journey to recovery is a gradual process that requires patience and determination from both patients and their families. The centre will offer various treatment modalities, including behavioural therapy and withdrawal therapy, as the overcoming addiction is a comprehensive effort. Still, we, at, DDAC, emphasize the centre’s commitment to the Whole Person Recovery (WPR) strategy. The centre’s ultimate objective is to ensure that patients can confidently reintegrate into their families and communities as productive and healthy individuals.
The District Drug De-Addiction Centre in Bandipora is a testament to our collective determination to create a healthier and more vibrant community.
